Mullen is a great coach but BK said today he won't go to the NFL unless he gets full control and he doesn't see that happening...

CBK is the best coach ND has had since Lou Holtz, ironically another coach cgvr disparages, and considered by most as one of the a top five CFB coach.

BK has his short comings as all coaches do including Saban and Meyer....but he has brought back enthusiasm, hard work and dedication to the dome. He busts his ass getting good material.

He's an average coach with superior talent and the strong winds of Notre Dame's reputation/tradition behind him.
Outside of Oklahoma, Stanford...his best games are losses.... That's not good.

Right now kelly's biggest bowl win is the Music City Bowl.

Its not a matter of being liked. He is a negative person.. If Dan mullen was the coach after t game he would be calling for the penn state coach to be the new coach. by the way when one of his favorite coach's have a bad year he never mentions it.

OP is not an ND fan. He has yet to make a single post which says anything positive about ND. He gets his jollies pretending to be an ND fan.
I agree with CVGR. Kelly is a great recruiter but he comes up on the short end against high quality opponents. We also play down to the level of average opponents. The team has too many injuries, too many clutch turnovers and delay of game penalties. Also he over lectures his QB. which I have seen too much of. He is a very good play caller and disciplinarian etc. but the intangibles are what he lacks. I think if he became less technical and more fire and brimstone like Holtz more ND fans would worship him.
It kind of like your 8-4 statement you made at the beginning of the year about Kelly being a 8-4 coach and that it is the new NORMAL around here. Then they go 10-2 and you hope nobody remembers your comment. Where is your commitment? A real man would stand behind his words not claim he never said them. Everyone has a right to their opinion but a adult would stand behind what he said and not run and hide when he is wrong.
