Swinney knows how to beat Urban Meyer, knows how to win his conference, knows how to get into the College Football Playoffs and knows how to win a National Championship. And does it all without acting like a royal d-bag.

Swinney has developed into a very good Div-1 coach - he just completed his 9th year at Clemson - Harbaugh just completed his 2nd year at UM - coaching mostly players he inherited from Brady Hoke!

I would say Dabo is a great coach. He has had a ton of 11 win seasons in a row and beat Urban and Saban back to back to win a National title. First time for Clemson in 36 years (longer drought than ND). Lou Holtz won only one Title and I think he is a great coach.

Not sure why the Dabo v Harbaugh comparisons are a hot topic on an ND message board - seems like you guys have much, much bigger problems but I'll play along anyway.

Let's see now, Dabo was hired by Clemson in 2008, roughly 9 years ago. Dabo's first full 3 years at Clemson he went 9-5, 6-7, and 10-4 in the then lowly ACC. He had a Gator Bowl loss, a Music City win and a Meineke Car Care Bowl loss during that time. All minor bowls.

By comparison, in Harbaugh's first two years at UM he has gone 10-3 and 10-3 with a Jan 1st Citrus Bowl landslide win over SEC East Champ Florida and a narrow 1-pt Orange Bowl loss to FSU without arguably his best defensive player (Peppers) and best offensive player (Butt).

Also worth mentioning that of the 6 games UM has lost in JH's first 2 years, they led in the final minute in 4 of those games - meaning they have been in a position to win every game except the 2015 blowout loss to OSU.

This has all been done with Brady Hoke's players who went 5-7 the year before JH arrived in Ann Arbor. While UM may take a small step backward in 2017 because they graduate a lot of players, they will be loaded for bear in 2018 and will most probably contend for a NC. Like I said, I think I'd worry a helluva lot more about what's happening in South Bend under Brian Kelly's watch than what is happening in Ann Arbor under Harbaugh's. Pretty certain Michigan will be just fine.
