Hey, even though Budweiser is the brand that bankrolls your loathsome team, you should splurge and pay a little more for something better....after all, it's a vacation.I will be in an airport drinking $8 Budweisers waiting to go to Ireland.... hopefully the game is in hand pretty quick.
Hey John! I'll join in and order a Founders All Day IPA. Go Irish!!!!It's time to open Czar's Bar! Cheers to a great season for Notre Dame!
Gang, gang, gang, gang... I am checking in with @Bodizephax tonight.... all the malt liquor you got
I noticed that Budweiser and Coors light were in every bar across the entire country..... was crazy. For a country known for drinking, I wasn't impressed with the beer selection.Hey, even though Budweiser is the brand that bankrolls your loathsome team, you should splurge and pay a little more for something better....after all, it's a vacation.
Another place to consider for a possible viewing of ND in Dublin is Busker's, right across from the Temple Bar.
The first time I had one of those was in September of 2012 and ND finished undefeated in the regular season. So good choice! Two of them get me hammered haha.I'm having a Bell's Two Hearted Ale.
I take it by your lack of a reference that you didn't find a place to watch the ND-Georgia game. Just as well, as you would have been hungover and pissed at an ridiculously late hour. I know this falls under the heading of "now you tell me," but a place with a great beer selection is the Porterhouse, which would have been about three blocks aways from The Temple Bar. Hope you enjoyed your trip.I noticed that Budweiser and Coors light were in every bar across the entire country..... was crazy. GREAT trip though. Had a blast. We stayed at the Temple Bar Hotel for a couple nights so I went to Buskers a few times to end the night.
Wait a sec . . . its this a legit Czar's bar or did we break in with an old thread.
Not a good omen.
I need a ruling.
I'll take a PBR and a well shot of tequila. Feeling good about the game because I'm doing laundry and was 8/9 throwing clean socks across my living room onto the bed through a pretty tight window with laser accuracy.
But no predictions because I'm benched this week.
Go Irish!
You can join the best receiver on the Irish Kevin Stepherson. Damn Kelly and his love of rkgs and walkons !
I will have my got the blues drink--MD2020 Grape.
Ya, it was a great trip. Buskers told me they would of had the game on, but I thought I would just stream it on my phone in my hotel if I could stay awake..... I quickly learned that you can't stream internationally...... so I missed out.... glad that I did though!I take it by your lack of a reference that you didn't find a place to watch the ND-Georgia game. Well, I'm glad you had a great trip. The stipulation I have is that we can go on vacation anytime after the college basketball season ends. Man, if it weren't for sports I could see living in Ireland, but that's another story. When you were in Dublin, did you go to a bar on Baggot Street called O'Donough's? It's where the folk group, The Dubliners, got started, and they have jam sessions there all the time. When I was there three years ago, there was a guy wearing a Cardinals cap, so I asked him if he was from St. Louis. His brogue clearly identified that he was a native Irishman, but he said he worked in St. Louis for a while. As it turned out, though, he didn't know Albert Pujols from Albert Brooks.Ya, it was a great trip. That must have been great to be in Galway at that time. That town seemed to be in perpetual party mode the two times I visited, so I can only imagine what it would be like when they have a genuine reason to celebrate. We didn't really leave the Temple Bar area much. Honestly, I could live in Ireland. I would just have to get into Soccer (which I never really cared for) and Hurling. We were in Galway the day they won their first All-Ireland Hurling Championship in almost 30 years. So, even though we had no idea what hurling was, we were involved in an absolute madhouse of the entire town celebrating the win.
Awesome video.... my wife and I both enjoyed that song which we heard a lot all over Ireland. That must have been great to be in Galway at that time. Here's a shot of the spirit of Galway.
Hey man, a different beer you could have tried in Galway was King's Blood. As you might guess, it's a red ale. This was a signature offering at a pub called the King's Head. Rumor has it that the guy who was conscripted to behead Charles I did the dirty deed under the agreement that he'd be rewarded with his own bar. Galway was about as far away from England to retreat to avoid incurring retaliation.Awesome video.... my wife and I both enjoyed that song which we heard a lot all over Ireland.
Galway reminded us both of Lincoln NE or a Madison WI type college town. Was a great place.
