but let's be honest this is clown school - these are bad teams we are losing to.

This coach can't put together a 60 minute game plan - he really knows how to kill momentum and put players in bad spots.

Blame Kizer for the 2nd interception? WTH are we doing going for it from mid field on 4th and 7 with a lead ... with bad protection the guy was forced to try and force a throw.

This team has players that just don't know how to win.

I also feel this team for years is always waiting for something to go wrong in a game and when it does it just spirals out of control from there.

absolutely. ND is so predictable. after the pick 6 i said, "well we'll probably end up finding a way to lose now". score there and the game is probably over. stanford was aweful offensively, up 3 scores at home...curtains. but thats nd football these days

BK takes his foot off the gas with the slightest lead. Good coaches go for the throat at that point but Kelly allows them to regroup and get back in the game. The players lose their purpose for playing football and the next thing you know there is whatever number of unanswered points needed by the other team to win the game.

For the record, I believe Kelly is a good man and could be a good coach at ND. But, his mentality of keeping other teams in the game sends a TERRIBLE signal to his team. I knew when ND took a knee to end the first half that the game was over for them.

There was 41 secs left, ND had two timeouts, all the momentum, and (arguably) the best QB in CFB. Does Kelly go for the throat like any other self-respecting coach that wants to win at a high level? Of course, he does not. He takes a knee and gives Stanford the half-time to regroup.

Going for it before half-time would have sent a signal to the team that 'I want to beat the crap out of Stanford'. The team came out flat in the second half because their coach ended the first half flat. So, Kelly inserts Zaire for 'a spark' that, mind you, he took away to end the half. This move further deflated and confused the team. Kelly needs to look in the mirror to find fault for this loss.

Another Tulsa moment brought to you by Brian Kelly.

the team has a coach who cannot coach winning football! Answer this ?

The last time ND was an underdog and posted the upset?
The last time ND upset a team ranked in the top 10 when ND was not!?

When you are a 2-4 football team playing a rival at home it's not possible to be too aggressive. As soon as it got to 10-7 he panicked and started (and then continued) making dumb decisions.
