Composite 5-star OT Felix Ojo cancelled visit to ND April 10th and scheduled a visit with OSU that day instead -- SMH

This can't keep happening if ND wants to compete for national titles. It just can't. They can't let highly rated talent that is interested in them slip away and go to OSU/Texas/Oregon/Alabama/Georgia/etc.

We're in the 2nd quarter of the off-season game, and we can't keep getting our butts kicked in the off-season organizationally and then expect to actually beat these teams on Saturdays.

Who cares. We recruit the OL better than OSU.

Didn't OSU just gash ND for 200+ yards to NDs 50ish rushing-yards?

How does potentially losing the battle for a 5-star OL to that very same team help NDs chances of competing against them going forward?

chase his balls whining and crying about something he actually wants to see happen

I guess watching morons be especially stupid can be entertaining at time; like a low rent Jerry Lewis.

Honestly my biggest worry at this point is not even ND not matching talent for talent with their blue blood peers (although that is frustrating and disappointing in and of itself of course)

I know we have the right coach...i'm convinced he's one of the best in the game and could do great things as he gets more experience.

If ND doesn't get sh*t right organizationally -- and soon-- MF is going to get sick of banging his head into the wall dealing with NDs naive administration and jettison for greener pastures as soon as something else better comes available.

Be great in the NFL or at a blue blood in the SEC or BIG10 or be criticized/underappreciated endlessly by ignorant fans and media people because they don't understand to the degree you are competing with a massive handicap?

It would be one thing if ND lost the occasional top prospect recruiting battle (e.g. you just gotta tip your hat sometimes and realize you win some and lose some) i get that angle. But when it happens almost every single recruiting battle at the top of the rankings/board (e.g. you lose every top guy you go after to the trendiest programs every cycle) then you got to change your focus to inwards and start having honest conversations with yourself and start making really aggressive moves to change the culture of the program or become content with non-excellence. I think we know which one ND has chosen for the last 35 years now.

They aren't crying we are beating them for 2 top DEs. You are going to win and lose in recruiting.

And yeah with ND down 4.5 DL and 2.5 OL. We were a very beat up team. They were much healthier. If they had 5 DL out we would have gashed them too

He just signed a new lucrative contract this offseason. He went 2 and 0 against the SEC this year

You really have no idea what you are talking about with regard to OSU. The had major problems with multiple starters lost for the year on the OL. They lost the Rimington award winner, Seth McLaughlin on Nov. 19th for the season. They lost in October a 1st round LT projected in this years draft Josh Simmons to injury.
Point is OSU was down on players also.

What about at DL? We're you missing 2 starters there? We're you missing a all American CB too? You know, the guy that shut down Marvin Harrison JR?

Man, a all American CB sure would have come in handy on that 3rd and 11 bomb that saved you.

ND was missing way more than O$U let's not get that twisted. That being said, you were the better team on the field that day with the personel present.

Serious question, how many starters do you guys lose this year? Because there is no reason to think michigan will win again.

I'm sure you are aware ND returns the vast majority of the team you guys faced in the championship.

Like I said they were way healthier than we were. We were down 2 OL and we had 2 others with bad ankle sprains who could barely move in the NC game. Also Jagusah was playing his first gm of the year at LT because of injury from the semifinal gm. OSU didn't have that

We also had 4 DL out. They did not have 4. We also had Cross playing on one leg and Burnham with an ankle sprain. They weren't close to that depleted. All of their starting DL were playing

Do some research before you post incorrect information. OSU was much healthier than ND was for the NC game.

I forgot to mention out best Corner was out for that game. Our RB was not healthy. Our best blocking TE was also out to add to the OL issues.

It's not even comparable

This is football not basketball

There's 85 guys on a roster each one playing a significant role whether in practice or as depth in a game

Your star QB goes down especially in a pass heavy offense now this loss could potentially have major impact on your team's efficacy. But losing three or four guys -- even key guys in the top 10 in a group of 20 -- doesn't really change a teams outlook all that much.

Notre Dame experienced below average injury luck for sure but fans want to look at Notre Dame's injuries in a silo as if other programs didn't experience them as well.

Another recruiting victory over the elites of the sport. Make sure you talk about this too and not only the misses

Competing for a championship isn't the correct measuring stick because winning a national title or even just gtting there requires a lot of good fortune to fall into place and too much of that is out of your program's control. Thus, the correct measuring stick when building your football team is building THE BEST football team in the country. F+ thought that team was OSU last year by a wide margin (they had a 2.5 F+ to everybody's else's 1.9 F+ or lower).

In order to build the best football team in the country--it requires the best talent acquisition, best coaching staff, best NIL budget, best football operations budget, etc. in the country and ND is just still way too far behind.
