Well....
There is a group of people roaming the earth and no matter what feel the need to spout off about something trendy. Especially if it means "change" of something then it's twice as bad.
Talking heads bitching for years (jealousy) that ND isn't in a conference yet treated like ND is it's very own conference.
So they jump on a trendy wagon and regurgitate the very same thing they heard on a talk show riding home from their cubicle data entry job armed with a new copy of John Madden Football dying with anticipation to get back to Mum's basement.

Well the orchestrated raids of the big 12 and PAC 12 probably changes a lot.

Well a board consisting of 10 presidents of universities, That's right presidents of universities and not the conference commissioners are voting on playoff expansion. Apparently they are set to agree on a 12 team playoff with 6 automatic conference champion qualifiers and 6 at large teams based on ranking. So I guess conference expansion means nothing as it pertains to the college football playoffs.
