You've seen a practice or two so I'm not expecting you to give a perfect picture of the team or season. However, you've seen plenty in your time. You've watched the Irish in previous years. How do we look this year and what are realistic expectations?
I'm not asking for a practice report. Those tend to be "everybody does well but need to focus on this" posts. We hear it every year that people look good and the season comes along and lo and behold we're an average team. Are we realistic threats? What are the strengths? What are the opportunities? Who do you see stepping up based off what you've seen and heard? Who are the weakness? What are the concerns?
I'm looking for a no holding back, no blowing smoke, this is the team type positional and player outlook. Might take some time to write up what I'm looking for (which may be asking too much but I'm hopeful) and I'm good with that but I feel you're the first person in awhile that will give the realistic rather than the "world is full of sunshine" view.
