Since my RN wife has been working some late shifts I have been staying up late watching old game film from the Lou Holtz years. Man, easy to forget how many great players rolled through ND while Lou was there. Speed everywhere. I was really impressed with how polished they were especially on special teams. Great years. Can't help compare with Kelly; can't get a play off without calling a time out. Maybe this year will be different.

last year, there was a thread about the 1st play (not sure if it was the 1st game of the season or ?)
but, I offered the 1st play would be a "timeout" ...and sure enough!

Was the MC Bowl. Did you ever get your prize? Whatever it was, you should get a lifetime supply for being that spot-on

First play of the spring game couldn't even go off without a hitch- false start penalty. I couldn't stop laughing at how bad cbk is. Same thing happened on the first possible play against Temple in 2013. Kelly is so far in over his head.

Let's keep it real. The first play against Temple to start the season we had too many men on the field. TJ Jones was the culprit. What coach benches his offensive captain to start the season? Sheesh, that was awful.
Lastly, we opened the Music City Bowl with a time out....
