CJ Sanders will return Five kicks for TD's this year !! He is a bigtime player who has made some big time plays in big games !! Like his 93 yard kickoff return against Stanford in 2015 that should have earned us a playoff spot !! CJ gained 181 yards returning kicks that day--third most in Notre Dame history !! And most since Rockets legendary day against Michigan where he gained 193 yards and took two to the house !! Kick it to him Bo !!
CJ also returned a kick 46 yards against Clemson !! And he took a punt 50 yards to the house which opened up a close game against UMASS!!!
CJ returned two kicks for touchdowns last year also !!
He is doing this all with terrible special team blocking and terrible coaching !! With "The RainMaker " Brian Polian commanding special teams CJ Sanders is going to have a record setting year !! CJ is a game breaker a heart attack maker !! The pro scouts will all be pulling out their stop watches every time CJ settles under a kick !! I can't wait for the season to start !! The Irish are going to put up a ton of points this year !!

Bodi, your point is well taken. Sanders has had some great returns, despite very poorly coached special teams. Still, It was frustrating to see so many of his kickoff returns stopped before he had a chance to go into high gear, and you have to believe that Polian's coaching and attention to detail is going to pay big dividends. I expect his average return yardage to go up significantly.
Frankly, I won't be surprised if Sanders is not returning punts, as he never looked comfortable in this role. I wouldn't be surprised to see Finke back there as he was part of last year. I've also read where the freshman Michael Young is seeing some time at this in practice.
