How can you say that Freeman baited Cignetti on that play when ND snapped the ball and ran the play?

That was the worst call of the night and Freeman’s biggest weakness. Just take the FG and take the three score lead. It was 4th and 8. I can perhaps understand with shorter down and distance but not with 8 yards to go.

The TO was called before the play was run. And ND didn’t make the first down, because the TO wiped out the play. Cignetti called the time out when the ND lineman shifted and the WR went in motion…
