What a great journey this season has been. After NIU, I came on here and said that I don’t think anything from this season could be saved, and it might sink Freeman’s career here. I cannot be any happier to be wrong, and feel free to pelt me with your empties for that bad take. 😂.
As for the final game. I think this one all falls on Denbrock shoulders ( fair or not). With the patch work offensive line, I think he has to Show a totally different look/ blocking schemes and keep Osu off balance early.
We have to be able to rush for 150 - 200 yards. It’s a tough ask, but whether it’s sweeps, good ole power, pulling guards, he has to find it.
As for the defense, they will continue to play hard and I think the few extra days of rest is really big for us. Osu will have a handful of big plays and will score. But our goal should be to force 2 turnovers and get off the field in timely spots.
We have a punchers chance, a real one. I think the start is everything. But I love knowing that this team will fight like hell for 4 quarters, no matter the score….
Bonus: I hope Love runs over Ryan Day, going out of bounds 🤣😉.
