Is anyone here as excited as I am to see the Irish move up to nr. 3?

A lot of talk has been tossed about that ND should get jumped but I do not see that happening. There is no body of work out there that would warrant ND being jumped.

Sit back and relax fellow ND fans. The Irish are in good position heading into the Stanford game. And, if ND stays at three and nr. 1 and 2 win out then we get a first round redemption with Alabama.

would rather stay at 4 and hope to play Clemson in semis.

This is a tale of two posts. Pumpbeef sees ND falling to nr. 6 or below and I see ND moving up in their win - what do you believe?

Is there three teams out there that so stunned the CFB world that they should jump ND - no. Does Iowa jump ND for beating no one? MSU for losing to Neb who who got beat by Purdue? OK that barely beat a TCU team without their play makers?

There is just no justification to bump ND - none...zero...ziltch!

Interesting perspective. I think Clemson is a much better match up for us than Alabama.
Bama has struggled against running QBs in the past. And, they have not done well against teams that run and pass well with a mobile QB. Not saying ND knocks them off but I sure like our chances.

When it comes down to Clemson and Alabama in the playoffs, I don't care which team we beat first.

My brother taught me at an early age that when you are in a fight you find the biggest and baddest one and punch them square in the mouth - the rest will walk away. I want Alabama just like OSU did last year.

I could have have used a brother like that. My old man taught me to kick 'em in the nuts and run like hell. But I was the slowest kid in the neighborhood..

lol JD. He was the smallest of all of us boys (I am the youngest of seven boys) but he had a fire none of the rest of us had. Any time I was ever in trouble I just got ahold of him and it was over after that. There was one time when I was 9 and got into it with a kid (turns out to be my best friend now) who was 11 and I went home and grabbed Tim. He came over and scoped everything out and was ready to stop another kid there that was much bigger than me. I told Tim the other kid was not the problem and pointed out my friend. He said, "Andy, you're his size and you need to deal with him on your own." I was like - SOB - he left me hanging. We all still laugh about that day but that big kid - Rick - still says he has never been more scared in his life as when Tim eyeballed him.

I have a bad feeling ND will be down to #5. All the boys can do is beat Stanford and let the chips fall where they may.

So many things can still happen with other teams. This whole scenario with the playoffs has made CF even more interesting and sparked more debate than ever before.

hville, serve me up a long island iced tea. I am here to celebrate and you are raining on my parade.

Sorry, IG. Just not feeling good about tonight, but there's still a lot of football to be played.

Your LIIT is up!!
Thanks hville. Wow! I sure didn't see that nr. 6 ranking coming. I thought maybe one, no way two...
AND three teams jumping ND - IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!

On the bright side, in reality we are nr. 5 because MSU and Iowa cannot both stay ahead of ND :)
