Previously he had declared for the NFL draft. That’s a big pick up for them and makes Game 1 more challenging in 2025.

Can someone make sense of this for me? NIL money? Was he going to lose his job to Stockton for certain? Stuff like this just bothers me, cause unless UGA told him to kick rocks, he's leaving the school that made him into what he is and has had more success than most QBs could ever dream of. No loyalty anymore.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. He’s perfectly entitled to do as he wishes, but dang dawg, don’t you want to try to bring home another title to your beloved? This time as the starter?

I imagine NIL is good at Georgia. Then again maybe he just wants to kick it in Miami.

Reactions: NIN Irish
He should have better receivers there. Way worse defense though if they don't improve drastically

4 million NIL reported
That's a lot of money, but I'll admit I'm surprised by his decision given that he just had a season ending injury. He must have been told he'd be lucky to get drafted in the 6th round is my guess. But with so many NFL teams desperate for QBs I wouldn't have been surprised if he got drafted in 2nd-3rd round. He's taking a gamble on himself to finish the season healthy and be drafted higher. Maybe he'll go the Cam Ward route and only play the first half of games.

Being anything beyond a 2nd round draft pick, he makes more money staying in college. You're going to see a lot of that moving forward.
