According to an article I read on 1 of TOS, Carnell Tate has already made his choice on the college he will be attending. According to Tate, he has already decided based on summer visits, phone calls & talks with his family & has known his decision since July. Tate stated "Notre Dame has a special feel & I like the coaches a lot there. " He also continued when talking about ND: "The coaches have a great plan & that is important for me."
Tate went more in depth about his decision factors while also discussing both ND & OSU stating, “Outside of the relationships and offense, I looked at the [recruiting] class before me, the depth chart and where I could get on the field. That played an important role too.” Lastly he added “I want to help build a class around me, so I cannot wait to let it out. I will only be visiting the school I commit to once I announce it, so I am excited about it coming up soon.” Tate hasn't informed either staff of his decision yet.
After reading this I'm extremely hopeful and starting to grow confident in ND's chances. However I'm a little concerned now that he said he will only be visiting the school he commits to after he announces it. I thought I heard he was coming to the Cinncinati game October 2nd. Not sure if this just means he is going to come to that game & then maybe another game as well or is coming to the Cinncinati game, announcing his decision to somewhere else & then visiting that school. I could be reading too much into it but overall I'm starting to get excited that ND may be able to build an offensive class around this stud receiver that ND has been in on for a long time
