Does a move to medical schlorship have to occur before the first game of the season. The reason I ask is say we are at 85 for the first game of the season (as required) and a certain often injured safety who was good to go in fall practice but gets injured during the Texas game and his career is over. Can he be put on medical after the Texas game and therefore provide an opening for say a Ishak Williams or Chase Houndshell? Or is it too late?
