End 23 - Never is a long time. I expect ND to play well Saturday. This season has been a disaster but Kelly will be given another year to turn it around IMO. ANother 4 or 5 win season next year and he will be gone. There's too much $$$$ at stake to continue these types of seasons.

As to beating USC that is a possibility, but Only if Kizer has a great game because in Kelly's offense it is all about the QB. Even when he gets a running game going, he will always go back to his passing game.

Really think Kelly goes 8-4,9-3. It is going to be tough . Georgia, Navy, USC, at home plus Miami ,Michigan State , North Carolina ,Stanford away . That is a tough 7 games . Then there is Temple , Boston College , North Carolina State ,Miami of Ohio, and Wake Forest . Any of those 5 capable of upsetting the Irish?

I think Kelly may have a decent season if he coms back. I was trying to give a best case scenario
for kelly , and my point was that if that plays out, We will be back to all the Kool Aide drinkers telling us that Kelly is the gratest coach since Leahy.
My personal preference is , and has been since the hire , that Kelly be dismissed Yesterday !

the easist solution is a termination immediately after Sat's game then name Sanford interim coach for '17 being an evaluation season. Recruits are likely placated and the team rejuvenated.

There just is no real obvious candidate out there for a blockbuster hire! less rock the boat the better!
