Breitbart: ND students complain re: Pence

..."when he refused to allow Syrian refugees, fleeing from violence and terrorism, to find refuge in our state; when he limited a woman’s right to control her own body by slashing access to women’s healthcare; or when he limited needle exchange programs that could have prevented the worst HIV outbreak Indiana has ever seen,”

“The new Administration has shown a basic disregard for the fundamental rights..."

When is it a "right" to have to have gov't furnished birth control or gov't furnished needles for drug users? Libs want to take your gun rights that are guaranteed in the constitution and write in their own. Am I the only one that sees the ignorance of the liberal argument?

Is it true the university covered up Christian and Catholic symbols when Obama was invited? If so, shame, so much shame on the university.
Woah... where'd you hear this? Something like that is enough to make me hate the school if true. Not gonna be surprised that some college kids don't want pence there, that would happen at any school. But if that's true about when obama visited... that's sickening

Can protest all they want .It is their right as long as there is no violence or destruction of property

It was in one of the comments at the bottom, which is why I asked. I certainly hope ND would not fold like that. And if Georgetown did that, shame on them.

RE: Georgetown covering up Catholic/Christian symbols on campus in advance of Obama's visit.... how did this come about? Did Obama's people reach out to GU admin and request this? Did GU do this on their own?

Either way - WHY???

For what it's worth, I kind of get not wanting religious imagery in the background of a presidential speech.
Then why have the speech at a Catholic School? Btw I understand what your saying but why have it in Georgetown?

Likely, Georgetown invited and Obama accepted; why presume that Obama's people angled for the specific location?

I'm not privy to their rationale for choosing venues -- it could be any number of reasons -- so I'm not really going to speculate. I don't think it's for some nefarious reason, though.

Get what your saying but if a catholic university has a goal to spread the word of Christ, why bend to the government and cover up what you believe in, I think that's pretty weak personally

Looking forward to your thoughts on the links and pic I provided. Even if it's speculation.

It was certainly a political win for Obama to speak at ND. It made him appear to be reaching out to those that disagree with him. Of course he talked about moving forward on common ground and then went nowhere in those areas.

NO ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. ZERO TRUTH TO THIS. Why would you ever trust Breitbart when it obviously lies about this. If anything it was amplified. The POTUS was at the Country's preeminent Catholic University. This is such trash, loosely worded as to just put BS out there without having any "fact" that can be refuted. Its the Breitbart garbage way----incite feeling by any means necessary.

You do understand our forefathers invoked God many times during speaking events?
Have we fallen that far as a nation.
A country built on faith now feels the need for it not to be present while the POTUS is giving a speech?

Slow down snowflake, it was mentioned in the comments - not by Breitbart. Another poster clarified as well. I appreciate your input tho!
