Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral linebacker Peter Werner has become commitment No. 17 in Urban Meyer’s 2017 recruiting class. Werner, who committed to Notre Dame in late March but decommitted in late November, has announced he is an Ohio State Buckeye.

Werner made an unofficial visit with the Buckeyes the weekend of the Ohio State-Michigan game. Shortly after that visit he decommitted from Notre Dame. Werner then committed to the Buckeyes on his Ohio State official visit this weekend.

The 6-foot-3 and 220-pound Werner is an athletic and very talented prospect that could play any of the three linebacker positions for the Buckeyes, though the staff has told him Will linebacker will be the first order of business.

Huge loss but if the NFL is his goal, which is reasonable given his talent, then his decision makes sense given the state of our defensive coaching and play. Hate it because he is exactly the kind of hard hitting talent we need in our front 7.

This is a huge loss. Kelly and the staff sucks at keeping talent committed . This is Luke kueckly all over again!

Why do people even start threads like this? No positive effect. Naysayers? Focus on the kids we do have. Once they defect... they're dead to me.

Have you looked at film of Werner? He's a demolition machine and hardly deserves a "yawn" from anyone. However, based upon your other posts, your latest is not surprising. YAWN!!!!!!
He can be whatever but he ain't comin' so I agree a yawn is in order.
