Four-star Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep Rover Shayne Simon has committed to Notre Dame.
Simon, the No. 9 OLB in the class of 2018 and No. 138 overall player in the country, had been the top rover target for the Irish coaching staff for a long time.
The decision gives Notre Dame its 14th commitment in the class, and moves the Irish up to No. 9 in the Rivals Class Rankings.
