All signs pointing to him becoming Irish this week. Big pickup for the class if true! Absolute burner and can play both ways.

WILL Fuller Junior !!!!

Very impressive if true. Which side of the line would he play? He looked good on both but if he can play X, that is where I want his speed which I have read and heard is Fuller like. If it is slot, then I would prefer him at CB as an every down player.

Bottom line for me is to elevate our team speed. We need more speed players like Prosise, Fuller and Brown.

We have some now for some positions. DHayes for WDE. Alize for H back. Sanders as a slot/returner. Pride at QB. I think we are lacking elite speed at RB unless we get Pledger. Joshua Moore would help like Lenzy. Crawford has elite quickness as does Gervin.

Need more speed.

P.S. I did read that Canteen has sub 4.5 speed. I just do not see him on the field much. Maybe special teams.

a great get for our as he can play on either side of the ball and has that great speed that Kelly wanted for this class. it'll be a battle to keep him because he just recently won mvp at a combine in southern California over several 4 and 5 star kids and so he'll be getting interest now from schools like Michigan, Ohio st amongst many other schools

5 visits on February 11 with recruits who had not committed.

Now we have Micah, Gervin, Mabry and Lenzey as commits. Only Gant remains. Pretty impressive.

Kid is fully committed to Notre Dame!
I know what you are saying but our irish are still going to have to stay on him hard because more and more schools are going to come after him if he continues to perform at camps or combines like he just did at the one in souther cal recently

Marquise Stepp , our ace in the hole recruiter will be on him like glue from now to signing day. The other schools are gonna be .... out of luck re.flipping Lenzy.

This is a kid whose rankings will jump considerably throughout the year as he attends more camps and continues to ball out. Everywhere he's gone thus far he's dominated. Would expect him to be ranked among the top 10 athletes and top 15-20 receivers in a great WR class by the end of the cycle. ND needs one more to complete their class and then you can go all out for for Amon-Ra down the stretch.

Is there any chance Elko grabs him for defense (cb)?

Brian Pollan is such a friggen stud recruiter. I guarantee you he pulls 2 more off the West Coast this cycle. He just loves to recruit and relates incredibly well to young people. If he can pull 2 more, Denson grabs 1-2 down in Florida, Elko and Lea get 1-2 out of the mid Atlantic, where they have tons of ties Elston, Light and company get a couple as well, this class could be so darn good.... Just have to win.

Oh and I know this is greedy, but I'd love to see ND to get in on 2-3 legit 5 stars, outside of Amon-Ra.

Lyght loves him at corner, but ND really wants him at WR. They're selling him on being Will Fuller in their offense. This is a Kei Russell type of athlete though. A burner, with legit WR and CB skills, who could play either way. Ideally, ND lands Kalen Garvin, Houston Griffith and a guy like Donald Johnson and there is no reason why Lenzy needs to play CB...

Now ND just needs a Hightower, Babb, Wilson, type and they can shut down WR recruiting with 3 good ones in fold and focus all their energy on landing Amon-Ra to close the class. Going to be an ND vs USC battle till the bitter end.

I call Polian "The RainMaker" . Without him ND doesn't play for the National Championship in 2012 --Manti. I believe he has some unfinished business at South Bend and wants a National Championship. I was thrilled when I heard he was coming back. The second best hire behind Elko IMO.

From what I've seen read about him, his ceiling is probably about as high as anyone's in the class, due to his combination of elite speed and fluid athleticism. Will Fuller seems like a fair comparison.

It seems like he's just raw as a route runner and at the LOS, likely due to playing in a "smaller" football area and devoting a serious amount of time to running high-level track.

It will be interseting to see how quickly he's able to improve those areas of his game, and if he's able to make strides there while still in high school...how much more that will make his elite speed "stand-out" on tape.

If he gets an invite to an All-American game (Army/Under Armour) I imagine that he's the kind of player that would really impress in that type of environment as well.

Definitely excited about him! Gives a perfect 1-2 punch at WR and a lot of position flexibiity too!

This recruiting haul seems too good to be true for February after a 4-8 dumpster fire of a season..... but I will sure as hell take it.

Agree -- now, that hard part -- continuing to build on it ... and keeping it intact until 2018

As we know, it can crumble very fast..... it would be scary to see what they could do recruiting if we could continue to win 10+ games/year.

Schwartz is the fastest of the receivers in this class. He has already beat a kid in the 100 who will be one of the fastest man in the world in the near future. That is the kid I would love for ND to get.

Love Schwartz speed. Hopefully is translates to playing WR at the next level, or at least kick returner. Seems like a Florida lock with their track program, but if ND could pull him.... Wow.

A bigger Trindon Holliday would be fantastic. A guy who makes you hold your breath everytime he touches the ball.

IIO: who is the 5* Manti or Jaylon or Floyd-like player still out there (any position) who tips the scale towards a 2012 or even 2015 (without BVG) season?

Lenzy with Schwartz would put so much pressure on a defense. ND could run the ball on everyone because they will have to have two deep safeties.

Amon-Ra St. Brown is that guy. Star receiver in the making. Stefon Diggs at the low end, Marvin Harrison at his ceiling. Very serious about that. He's going to be a star.

Dallas Gant has a little bit of Jaylon in him, but I don't think people realize how completely freakish Jaylon was and how generational of a talent he was. He was a 225lb linebacker in camps as a high school senior who was a lock down corner. He didn't even play LB in camps because it was a joke for him. I saw him get beat 1 time playing corner in all the camp footage of him I saw... Healthy, after 2-3 months of speed training, he would have ran 4.5 at the NFL combine and probably put 225lbs up 30+ times... Dude is Predator. Would have been the #1 or #2 overall pick. Gant is a poor man's Jaylon.

Derrik Allen is a Harrison Smith, with better coverage skills because he's also a legit corner. Could easily be a 5 star by the end of the cycle, but probably won't because he's committed and recruiting services absolutely hate hyping up players and rising them in the rankings when they're committed because the drama associated with uncommitted 5 stars drives their business... Politics will likely keep him from 5 star status, but he's a future All American talent.

Jayson Ademilola may be the best DT on the East Coast. If he attends camps and balls out and continues to improve as a senior, he'll be a consensus top 10 defensive tackle, with a higher upside than Sheldon Day did.

Houston Griffith is one else of the top 3 corners in the country. I've thought that for a long time and I haven't seen any film, nor any reports from camps that would change my thinking on that. There is a reason he could go anywhere and play for anyone. Would be the best CB prospect ND has landed since Darrin Walls (who never reached his potential).

Dax Hollifield is a tackling robot in the middle of the field from the Mike position. It's like watching a video game. He'd be the best LB on ND's rosters by his sophomore year. Would be thrilled to land that kid.

As good as Jaylon was.....he's soooooo underappreciated. It's terrible that he got hurt, so he didn't get his time in the sun, being hype by every scout in the business.

Dude could have played FBS football at every position from DE to CB.

I loved this line:
Dude is Predator

Aman-Ra. Love that name. Like I'm watching the mummy. Fingers crossed on him! Thanks IIO! Here's hoping.
