My apologies if there's another similar post...BUT after 8 games, and watching other so called Heisman candidates, there's only a few players in the country matching Book's leadership, game play, and most of all pure GRIT! All of which embodies the criteria for the Heisman Trophy. Furthermore, I find it problematic to hand the honor to a player who's program cancelled the season then reconsidered after realizing the ramifications of their overreaction. No disrespect to the players who've been impacted by this decision, but a 4-6 game season against a relatively weak conference schedule is night and day compared to what the ACC and SEC signed up for. With that said, Ian Book has taken his game to another level. Same argument for Florida's Trask and perhaps Bama's Jones. Hopefully, after tonight Book will be in the same conversation.
