Bob Elliott In Hospice

Being reported on FB by a former player of his in when he was an assistant at Iowa in the 1990s that he's now in hospice.

Fellow Hawkeyes...I am sad to say Coach Bob Elliot is in hospice surrounded by family.. I found this out because I was added to a memorial page.


He left his new role at Nebraska just a month or so ago due to health issues. He was first diagnosed with cancer while an assistant at Iowa nearly 20 years ago now.

Bummer. He was a good coach and special analyst for us. I wished he stayed.

Didn't Scott Booker take his place?

What a great guy met him when I was coaching at a JC in Kansas and he and Bielema came down to recruit for K State.

Best defensive coach ND had by a mile. Would of been dynamite DC for ND had he not had health issues. RIP & God Bless
