A couple caught my attention and my hope that they show up big-time on the field. 1st was actually on his tight ends in general but specifically on Nic Weishar & Alize Jones being physically ready to play. 2nd on the move of Brent to RB. Given his HS stats I hope he can see the field there....when needed.

BK nailed it by saying the TEAM needs to find itself and focus on winning not preseason rankings.

I liked the fact that he thinks this team has good leadership and the coaching staff needed to do a better job of finding /developing them.

Offensive line baby - making a run starts there - Kelly seems very confident - Good presser

My favorites are " anyone thinking I have trouble getting to 85 does not know how sharp I can cut". And " I agree with Will that Malik kicks Everett's butt as a leader"

And of course, " I did not try to stop Hill, I gave him a Koln- oscopy"

The NCAA has really dragged it's feet on the frozen five case. It shocked me yesterday that Russell still needed clearance from the NCAA before he can play this fall.

This for the love of God. What in the world could honestly be taking so long? This has been going on for a year now. How is there not complete clarity on this situation? They have had the entire off season to lock this down and outline the requirements. I don't know who is behind the ball here, (and I think it is both ND and NCAA) but they need to get their butt in gear. This is people's lives. And they are really messing with them.

Agreed. It's bs. The NCAA was notified last August and has had our findings since last October. It's my understanding that If an employee was involved in helping the students we may be forced to vacate wins....

....ridiculous.

They spoke on that yesterday, and I think that might still be part of the problem. They are figuring out if there is a mechanism to not erase wins. So ND is doing everything possible to stop that from happening.

Of course none of us will ever likely have the entire story. But from all of the reporters I have seen, heard speak on it. And all of the stories I have read. There is absolutely no reason that this isn't resolved yet. The NCAA had a ruling on Miami and their cheating, on USC and their agents, and a dozen other MAJOR violations in 1/2 the time they have spent on 5 kids that got caught cheating on a class.

And I think this might be part of the reason that ND's default now is to just ban a player for a year, I.e. issues like Golson. Because it shows that they don't need to wait on the NCAA to make a ruling and chances are the NCAA wouldn't make a harsher ruling than ND already had.

What organization is more screwed up administratively? The NFL or the NCAA.
