Bears vs. Packers - targeting

Anyone see the "hit" the Bears player laid on Adams of the Packers?
That was the very definition of targeting. Completely unnecessary and with malice.

If the NFL really wants to control this kind of crap - Trevathian should be suspended multiple games. Without pay. Then these lunatics would think twice before taking someone's head off. I know the CB agreement won't allow it, but man, that hit was blatant, egregious and belongs nowhere on a football field. Adams is lucky to be breathing.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. But no, i did see some highlight. Stands looked empty when I saw. They didn't show the play your referring to.

I used to watch all the games. I'm dialed back until the people that go home in a Mercedes after a loss respect those that go home in a flag draped coffin after a loss.

That was a vicious (and as dirty as you can get) hit. Have to imagine he will receive the 5 game suspension which I believe is the max for that offense.
