Here's a quick rundown of the awards banquet winners:

Outstanding student-athlete - Jarrett Grace
Defensive newcomer of the year - Jerry Tillery
Offensive scout team player of the year - Tristen Hoge
Defensive scout team player of the year - Asmar Bilal
Offensive newcomer of the year - DeShone Kizer
Defensive lineman of the year - Sheldon Day
Strength and conditioning - Romeo Okwara
Community and service impact - Joe Schmidt
Hard work, commitment, dedication to ND - Chis Brown
Offensive Lineman of the year - Nick Martin
Special teams player of the year - Matthias Farley
Defensive player of the year - Jaylon Smith
Offensive player of the year - Ronnie Stanley
Next man in - CJ Prosise
Team MVP - Will Fuller

By the way, I'm particularly intrigued by Hoge and Bilal. I think both can make big impacts in the future on their respective sides of the ball.

interesting

This is typical. BK likes to spread the awards out so that no one player gets multiple awards. Typically the better players will get the most coveted awards.

Agree on Hoge completely, I don't know much about Bilal , somewhat surprising that he may have passed Barajas[sp?]. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this scout team stuff? I seem to recall Andrew Hendrix winning the scout team player of the year some time ago.
