Does this kid get to compete with wimbush next year? I think there will have to be a lot of emphasis on wimbush's passing in the off-season but if he struggles has he set himself up for an early hook?

He lacks any confidence right now and the bowl game will probably tell us more. He should be in a competitive camp at least.

Have to open up the QB competition for the bowl game and in the spring. I know KH kept saying that BW can make all the throws in practice. He just can't do it when the lights are bright.

Avery has been running scout team. Insiders say he looks good. These same insiders say BW looks terrific at practice. BW is only part of the problem. Need to take a long hard look at Special Teams and this Secondary who can't seem to cover anyone.

The dline doesn't bother me as much as this wasn't supposed to be a strength of the team this year. I think the dline played amazing all things considered, linebacker's too. The secondary got exposed late in the season and still needs work, and bodies.

Not sure Wimbush is fixable.

He can't throw the damn ball.. Just running around is never going to be enough to win against tough teams.. We have running backs to do that.. He was terrible tonight missed wide open receivers .. on 3 consecutive downs lat in the game..

There should be an open competition in the spring. Wimbush didn't do enough to guarantee his starting job next year IMO.

Agree and the defense has been awful from the Wake game till the end. DBs are beat like a drum repeatedly. Every year.

Phil J... and I don't want to hear about how he will only be a freshmen. Freshman qbs play all the time. Hurts last year, Fromm, some guys just have it.
