Couple Questions for the board. When I talk to my big ten following friends, one of the things that I argue holds notre dame back from the Spartans and Buckeyes of the world is the lack of "auto wins" on our schedule compared to those "elite" big ten teams. In most years those two teams play a lot more games against teams who have close to no chance of beating them, they essentially play a three game season or so every year. This not only helps boost their win totals but also keeps their team fresh.
Anyone agree with me on this? Or do you guys think we play a similar schedule and we just aren't in the same league of talent as MSU or OSU? How many "auto" wins do you all feel we have this year(games you aren't worried about and feel the opponent has virtually no chance of beating us)?
