Not that I don't like football, but I sacrifice so many other things to watch and then get emotionally involved. It cannot be healthy. Wouldn't we all be better off enjoying other things?
Did not see the whole game because I was busy This will be my last post until maybe april or laterNot that I don't like football, but I sacrifice so many other things to watch and then get emotionally involved. It cannot be healthy. Wouldn't we all be better off enjoying other things?
That's not what I was referring to.Yea, **** those CAtholic ******s
You have to watch for the comedic moments it provides!Totally agree. My BP goes up which isn't good at 61. I've gotten to the point where no one in my family wants to watch with me. So I'm alone with my laptop and my cell phone.
THat's just a picture of sad.
(Except when we win.)
I'm done. I was done after the Miami game -- just too many of those losses. I was a Kelly fan but I really think it is time for a change. He is great at making underdogs competitive (2012-2015-2017) but he doesn't win the big one and he really underperforms when he actually has some talent.
I need a break.
You need to put this in perspective. I think at your age you realize this. Two acquaintances of mine are terminal. Another lost his battle a few months back. It's all relative. Totally get that. And I'm maybe over stating a bit. When I was a student at ND in the 70s I went to games and cheered but it was over when it was over. Maybe I spend too much time on this site! You need to put this in perspective. I think at your age you realize this. Two acquaintances of mine are terminal. Another lost his battle a few months back. That a boy. Glad to see you coming over the winning side of the BK crowd.Totally agree. My BP goes up which isn't good at 61. I've gotten to the point where no one in my family wants to watch with me. So I'm alone with my laptop and my cell phone.

Agreed. Never understood why the outcome of a sporting event that someone is only participating as a fan could affect that person's mood and demeanor for more than 10 minutes after it's over. On to the bowl game and back to work tomorrow. You need to put this in perspective. I think at your age you realize this. Two acquaintances of mine are terminal. I think maybe getting overly vested in a football game means we're the lucky ones. Many people out there not afforded the luxury of being miserable over a football game. It's a bit embarrassing to me that I care about ND football when there are so many people struggling in this world. Good lesson to pull back the reigns a bit. Hell, even if ND won the NC, it would have little bearing on my health, family, career, finance, marriage. Once they lost the next game it'd be over. You need to put this in perspective.
