Wasn't there a poster insisting that Amir was going to run the ball?

Anyway, Kelly squashed that today....

Q. With two scholarship runningbacks on the roster, will anyone
like Amir cross‑train?

COACH KELLY: C.J. Prosise is. He's
been in the runningback meetings. He'll get a lot of work at runningback. Amir will not cross‑train.
He'll stay at the slot receiver. C.J. will get quite a bit of work at
runningback.

I bet we see Amir on those jet sweeps a lot next year. Get the ball in the hands of the kids with speed, in favorable positions. I'll bet you don't see CJ line up in the I either.

Prosise was looking real strong as last season progressed.

He's listed as 220 lbs. Folston's at 214. Bryant's at 205. Carlisle's at 192.

I didn't realize that Prosise had a great track and field background in HS.

"won the long jump and 55-meter dash at Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association indoor state track and field championship in 2012 ... placed second in 100-meter dash at VISAA state outdoor track meet as a junior and senior ..."

Bodi- when that was said they qualifier was that both Heagarty and Ishaq would be back. This isn't going to happen it seems.

Sal, I knew Amir would be back 100%. No qualifiers needed. He is a ND RKG .

I guess it is fun predicting the numbers early but transfers injuries and disquals ALWAYS happen.

Amir put up decent numbers last year when you include special teams. He was a no brainer call for Coach Kelly..

There are still a lot of 5th year decisions that haven't been announced. When i was saying I didn't see how AC gets invited back I also was assuming Baratti and Grace were going to be medical redshirts. ND is going to see at least 4-5 more players leave.

BOD---CARLISLE will not cross train this spring---but he could stilll move on for his 5th.

TORII HUNTER was being considered for the slot originally and with a loaded WR corp

he could be again. Freshman CJ SANDERS will show up during the summer and he is

a very explosive lad who could lay claim to the position right off the bat. :eek:ts of

competition at both slot and WR will give SANFORD lots to play with. It is very early still.

Bod, we don't know which of these kids is going to light it up in spring to be a new return man. We do know Amir is team guy, he'll play wherever he's needed. That's what team guys do.

That's why CBK made it clear AC is part of this team and will be working at the slot. His spot on the team wasn't questioned by CBK. He knows how valuable a guy like AC is, especially in his 5th year.

Go Irish!

Prosise looked great running the ball in the Bowl game, with Folston, Bryant and CJ in a RB rotation, that would be tough on Any defense

CJ is a load to stop, no doubt about it. Hopefully he can continue to contribute and improve. He will be tough to stop. Anyone who can keep Torii Hunter off the field is going to be a talented kid. I hope he continues to develop.

Go Irish!
