Go figure, schools suddenly start bellyaching about the cost of attendance once they have to pay the bill.

Sure. A school could offer say $8000 in "cost to attend" money. Whatever the athlete doesn't use, he pockets. ND could certainly afford to offer as much as any program.

Maybe those schools will just have to cut back on the undocumented money they give their athletes. boo hoo

In an article posted on TOS earlier this week it looked more like disadvantage Notre Dame. Our annual payment was capped at something like $1,800 or $1,900. Tennessee was the highest at almost $6,000. There was quite a large disparity among the P5 schools, which is troubling for everyone.
