ACC

Major conference champs will probably always get an auto birth. However, getting a top four bye may not remain.
If the CFP committee reseeded after the 1st round based off of CFP rankings it would have been better all around:
1 Oregon vs 12 ASU
2 Georgia vs 9 Boise State
3 Texas vs 6 Ohio State
4 Penn State vs 5 Notre Dame

Why don’t you go through the ACC bowl record. Then get back to us.
Reading is hard, i get that. But scrolling is easy. Move to the top of the thread. It was done for your laziness. NDinNJ stated it, they are 1-7

Yes. If the powers that be (the major conference commissioners) get to keep the auto-bids for conference champs, that would be a great way to improve the second round.

and yet 2 of your 3 choices for a playoff spot lost their bowl games. Alabama and South Carolina did not deserve playoff spots.
SMU certainly didn’t. I know that. The ACC as a conference is embarrassing.

You were correct.

And continue to be.
I agree, what's your point? ND isn't in the conference, and Alabama and South Carolina didn't belong in the CFP. They have no right to whine about it when they each lose 4 games including their bowl games.

You’re the one that started the thread. When some posters point out flaws in the SEC, I simply remind certain posters that there are flaws everywhere.

Yes, but I wasn't claiming SMU, Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina, or Ole Miss deserved to be in the playoff. I'm just pointing out that after the bowl games today Alabama and South Carolina didn't belong.

Lol

You don’t simply remind anything….you keep trying to tell posters to disregard reality …because you are used to being told what to think

You lobbied for SEC all year and they just lost 5 games in a row in bowl games …including 2 of the three teams that you cried about being left out (with 3 losses) …oops, spin that any way you wish ..

and then you go AWOL…because you won’t answer questions that kill your narrative…What would Colorado’s record be in the SEC?

Clemson lost at home to non playoff South Carolina in game 12. Clemson finished 0-3 against the SEC.

Hell, any reasonable person could surmise the ACC deserved no one in the playoff if you wanted the 12 best teams.

But that doesn’t line up with the narrative for some.

Rules Sparky…rules ..

Each conf champ gets in.

So stop the pivoting. Your SEC boys would have pushed out SMU if they didn’t lose 3 games. But they did ..and then their bowl game

Period, stop, end

I can only offer my own opinion, all year the powers at ESPN and their homers try to push a narrative that the SEC is just so vastly superior that any SEC team in a non-SEC player would win and any non-SEC team playing in the SEC would not notch a win. Herbstreet went off about IU not belonging but not a PEEP about UT getting blown out by OSU.

Anytime it does not pan out, the excuse shirt comes out.

“ND wouldn’t win a game in the SEC”. What about Texas A&M? Well, they played the wrong QB.

Now it’s that if you’re an SEC team and you’re not on the playoffs it doesn’t matter. Seemed to matter to LSU.

The portal has changed football forever. The days of a “down year” is gone. You just go to the portal.

ND is NOT in the 2nd round without RL.

Now, do I think the SEC had GREAT teams? Yes, I do. GA and TX. The rest prayed like they are and never deserved to be in. If OSU, Oregon or ND played the same schedule UGA played they too would have 1 or 2 losses but now more. Just my opinion.
