A note to the Pathetic losers who keep bumping the fire Kelly threads.

Agree. It's getting old. Yes, many wanted him fired. Times change. We all make poor judgements. Who was to know BK would get his shit together. Hindsight.

To be fair, to say something like this you have to admit that if you constantly called for his firing, & Swarbrick, & act like you know anything about football coaching you are more of a pathetic loser.

It’s called hypocrisy. Calling out others for something you did yourself. All they did was defend Kelly & others while many called for their jobs.

If people are going to be bold, then don’t call others out for calling you out.

Their are a lot of pathetic losers on here, & they are mostly the ones who think they know more about college football than people who get paid millions to coach it.

I’m not calling out anybody in particular, but let it go....

In fairness to all. Many of us wanted Kelly gone. At the time, it was appropriate for those of us that felt that way. Sitting 8-1 with Kelly deservedly in HCOY discussion it comes across as troll(ish).

I for one wanted him gone but let's face it the guy hit a walk off so far....

Let's not get into my Giants, I blame Wellman. Jk

I wanted Kelly's head last year. I posted on many threads wanting him fired.

When it was decided by ND to keep him on then I stopped. ND fans must follow ND's lead. I went as far as putting bodi on ignore (for, like, five minutes).

I was mad but trusted ND to do the right thing. So far, I am pleasantly surprised and impressed.

Shut the hell up Farley. You don't know what the hell you are talking about. I was for Coach Kelly 95 percent of the time. I got attacked by all you punks when I went against him one week. I admitted I was wrong.. And yet know it alls like you won't give it a rest . Get off your high horse.

If you think I was calling for his firing day in and day out you are a damn liar.
But I don't care if people want him fired or not--- I just think it is getting old with all you Kelly fans (not Irish fans) rubbing it in other posters noses during a rivalry week that fans were wrong.

Although it's quite typical for Kelly to rack up a bunch of wins early in the season when his job is on the line, nobody predicted this. The team just doesn't look like 2012, 14, 15.

This right here is pathetic.

You act like the same old BK just had a hiccup and his coaching prowess is so genius.. Oh you KNEW he'd turn it around..huh.

GTFO

BK inverted the entire staff. Changed the country club mindset.

In other words did some pretty damn extreme changing.

People wanted the embarrassing football to stop. That was all.

Kudos to BK for changing but make no mistake if he left things status quo it would have been disastrous.

I am amazed by the supposed ND fans on here who go eerily silent when things are going well. When things are going badly they are good for 20 posts a day. They criticize under the cloak of being "realistic" fans or just wanting what's best for ND, then when the reality is that we are very good, they disappear. One can only assume that they are just trolls dressed up for Halloween as Domers. I guess they will be back when inevitably lose a game sometime down the road.

This board is for entertainment purposes and sometimes insight/knowledge. For the most part, the people that get paid to coach and run athletics are more knowledgeable than the people that get on Forum sites and have 20/20 hindsight and make suggestions for coaches that the person making the suggestion will never will held accountable. That said, we are Irish fans. This is a huge game because the Irish have won the other big games this year. We are right where we want to be. Everybody is talking about the Irish this week. Enjoy it. Next week might not be as much fun. I hope it is and I'm sure we will all do our part to make that happen. Pass the chips - GO IRISH!

Anyone who did not want BK fired after last years debacle is one of the following:

- The "Know It Alls" & "Contrarions" who spend most of their time proclaiming that they are football coaches/gym teachers and take great joy in attacking other posters. These people supported him in the past, even when BK went for 2 against Temple up by 11, and were too stubborn to admit they were wrong. These posters have also been labeled the "Kelly Cockroaches" because they would crawl under their rocks after a bad loss and come out chirping and ripping other posters when the team eeked by an average/bad team.

- The "Realists". As long as Kelly went 8-5 or 9-4, everything was right in the world because the college football landscape has changed. This group seems to be more grounded in life, realizing that it is just a football game and there are more important things to worry about. Ripping other posters to reafffirm their self-importance is not a priority for this group.

- The "Head Up The Ass" crew. The tradition of ND football is lost on them. This group knows absolutely nothing about the game but speak up in support of Kelly because they are intimidated by the "Know It Alls" and just want to be accepted by the bullies.

Anyone sitting on their high horses right know are basically reaffirming their own self-importance and basically showing their true colors.. Has Kelly turned it around and made this team a perrennial power? No. 3/4 of a season does not make a great coach. The evidence still is very convincing (based on the last 7 seasons) that Kelly is a bonehead. However, THUS FAR THIS SEASON, he is doing what he was hired to do, and that is get out of the way and let his coaches do what they were hired to do.

Remember, there are still 3 games left. Anyone crowing now and ripping other poster should keep in mid that Willingham had ND ranked very high for 3/4 of the season before the wheels came off.

The real shame is that today is a rivalry game and one of the most important games ND has played in quite some time. Why divide the fan base now?

I did not want BK dismissed after last season unless a realistic suitable replacement was willing and able to take the ND job. There was no one that fit that description at the time. Doesn't make us "BK lovers" or "football know it alls". It makes us realistic.

How about if we all just let it go and enjoy the season we're having? In the end, we're all Domer fans.

So much finger pointing going on about something this message board has no power over. It's hilarious if you think about it. Fans over react and over analyze everything. That's their job as fans.

Hey guys, this is a message board. EVERYONE is open to criticism...

Except the people posting when they are dead wrong. In those instances, we just move on and act like it never happened.

I don't know about that. There was a lot of so called ND fans who sure as hell wanted to stir the pot. If you disagreed with one of the Kelly haters you would catch all kinds of hell. I know I sure did.

Fans were calling for his name after the Georgia game. Even though you could see that the defense was more consistent then we have seen since the Holtz days. This is the first time since the early 90s that I truly believe we can compete with anyone.

I was not referring to you. Let me clarify my comments. There was no reason for posters to stir the pot and start pointing fingers at fans who wanted Kelly fired, unless it was just to reaffirm their self-righteousness.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, who did not think BK should have fired after last season is a liar. We went 4-8 and BK continued to make the same bonehead decisions he has infamously made in the past. Even McGlinchey said that we was not going to come back this season unless Kelly changed.

Now, I wanted Kelly fired more than anyone. In fact, my desire for his firing was borderline obsessive. All existing evidence pointed to this as a logical action and there was no way in hell he was going to change. But he did and I respect this and acknowledge it each week with my self-deprecating posts about having our doors blown off. I ate crow and admitted I was wrong. Something was different this year and I jumped on the bandwagon.

The "Know-It-Alls" won't admit it but they also thought that Kelly should have been fired as well. But they were too stubborn and arrogant to make this admission.

So a miracle happened with Kelly doing a 180 degree turn for the better in how he communicates with his players, how he handles himself with the media, conducts himself on the sidelines, his improved decison making and the hiring of good coaches/delegation. And what happens? The "Know-It-Alls" use this miracle to justify their arrogance in a self serving manner.

Now, did they jinx us? Who knows. But if we lose to Miami tonight, I am blaming them for bringing in bad karma!!
