9 wins

No. 10 or 11, and major bowl victory and I'm pleased. Notre Dame isn't Purdue where 9 wins is considered a great season.

I didn't call it a great season but i see it as a major improvement over last season. The offense will have to be more diverse to hit the 10 or 11 win mark.

I think 9 would be a pretty good season. I wouldn't really classify it as a great improvement over last year because I think last year's team certainly had the potential to win 8 or 9 games too.

I see only Miami and Navy (offensive style) as potential slip ups. SC and SU will not be as tough as thought before the season started. Both look like 17 point W’s.

At this point, I want 13 wins. This might be unrealistic, but until proven otherwise... Before the season if you had asked the question would I be happy with 9 wins, I probably would have said yes but I really want ND to contend for National titles. ( 9 wins will probably help keep this recruiting class together and to me that is critical.)

I know you didn't call it great, and it would be major improvement compared to last season. Heck, it already is. Last season should've been at least 8-9 wins, so anything less this year is a disappointment, imo.

I could maybe handle one more loss (not to SC) but that's it. After 6 games we all should be disappointed with only 9 wins, why? Comparing the '15 team that was pretty good, they still got in shootouts and couldn't put teams away when needed and a D like a sieve. This team seems to strap up when needed and bury teams. There is a quiet confidence and I believe it stems from the captains. The loss to Georgia was probably the best thing that could've happened to this team.
