Just some nuggets I put together while writing all the articles. Offering no opinion, just sharing information.

* First time in the Rivals era (began in 2002, Top 250's began in 2006) that Notre Dame signed 3 OL that finished in the Top 125 nationally. This was the first time since 2014 that ND landed four OL that earned 4-star grades. That class had Quenton Nelson, Alex Bars, Sam Mustipher and Jimmy Byrne.

* This was just the second time during the Rivals era that Notre Dame landed four DL that earned 4-star grades. The other time that happened was 2008 when ND landed Kapron Lewis-Moore, Ethan Johnson, Sean Cwynar and Brandon Newman. NOTE: I'm referring to players that were recruited to play DL. The 2011 class had 4 players listed as DL that earned 4-star grades, but Ben Councell was recruited to play LB and he played LB)

* To build on that last point, Notre Dame had only signed three or more 4-star DL three times. 2002 (Derek Landri, Chris Frome, Travis Leitko), 2008 (Lewis-Moore, Johnson, Cywnar, Newman), 2011 (Stephon Tuitt, Aaron Lynch, Ishaq Williams) and 2016 (Daeiln Hayes, Julian Okwara, Khalid Kareem).

2010 - 2 (Louis Nix, Prince Shembo)
2011 - 3 (Aaron Lynch, Ishaq Williams, Aaron Lynch)
2012 - 2 (Sheldon Day, Jarron Jones)
2013 - 2 (Isaac Rochell, Doug Randolph)
2014 - 1 (Jay Hayes)
2015 - 1 (Jerry Tillery)
2016 - 3 (Daelin Hayes, Khalid Kareem, Julian Okwara)
2017 - 1 (Darnell Ewell)
2018 - 1 (Jayson Ademilola)

* For the second straight year, Notre Dame signed 3 defensive backs to rank in the Top 250. It is only the third time in Kelly's tenure that happened, with 2012 being the other season (Elijah Shumate, Tee Shepard, KeiVarae Russell). Of course, Russell wasn't actually signed to play DB, but that's where he ended up.

* The 2019 and 2012 classes were the only times ND signed 3 DB's to rank in the Top 125 by Rivals. In the 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 classes Notre Dame signed just 3 DB's to rank in the Top 150. From 2010 to 2017 - including the 2012 class - Notre Dame signed 6 DB's that ranked in the Top 150. In the 2018 and 2019 classes combined, Notre Dame has signed 5 DB's that rank in the Top 150 - Kyle Hamilton, Litchfield Ajavon, Isaiah Rutherford, Houston Griffith and Derrik Allen.

* Notre Dame has signed 3 Top 150 defensive players in each of the last two years. Hamilton, Ajavon, Rutherford in 2019 and Allen, Griffith and Lamb in 2018. Those two classes tied for the 3rd best of the Kelly tenure. The other time was 2012 with the 3 DB's mentioned above and 2015 (Jerry Tillery, Te'von Coney, Shaun Crawford). The best season is the 2013 class, which landed 5 Top 150 defenders (Jaylon Smith, Cole Luke, Isaac Rochell, Max Redfield, Doug Randolph). The second best season was 2011 (Aaron Lynch, Stephon Tuitt, Ishaq Williams, Ben Councell).

* This was the first time that Notre Dame failed to land a QB, RB or WR that ranked as a 4-star recruit by Rivals. Kyren Williams (ESPN, 247), Cam Hart (ESPN) and Kendall Abdur-Rahman (247) were ranked as 4-star recruits by other services but none were ranked as 4-stars by Rivals. That's a first in the Kelly era. They landed just one such player twice during Kelly's tenure - 2017 (CJ Holmes) and 2011 (DaVaris Daniels).

* Despite all that was mentioned above, this tied for the 2nd lowest ranked class of the Kelly tenure by Rivals.
