He was in a boot Sunday as a precaution. That's pretty common with any ankle or foot situation, even very minor ones. He's not expected to miss any practice time.

Eric Hansen said nothing about it during last night's radio show. We'll see if anything is mentioned tonight.

BK said in his presser they are doing everything they can to get Wimbush on the field on Saturday hence the boot. He reported to BK that he went home Saturday and had foot soreness, the x-rays and MRI were negative. The rumor on other boards is that he hurt it outside of a bar on Saturday. BK did say that as a precaution Book has taken 40% of the practice snaps which is significantly more then usual in case Wimbush cannot go.

I was on my way back from Knoxville late Saturday night and stopped in Asheville, North Carolina. I asked a mail carrier who was pumping gas in a U.S. Postal Service truck where he was headed. "Knoxville, Tennessee," he answered. "This truck is full of thank you notes to Butch Jones from Larry Fedora."

Wilbon on PTI said that Georgia hasn't beaten anyone of consequence this season. They also talked about the top college RBs and never mentioned our own Josh Adams. ND has to TCB at Carolina and beat USC for people to start to take notice I guess.

Notre Dame's television rights belong to NBC. ESPN never says anything positive about Notre Dame because that annoys the shit out of them. Their talking heads are just towing the company line.

I understand that, but this nonsense permeates to other sports outlets outside of the Notre Dame beat writers. These national sports journalists (TV , print, radio) behave like they do no research or background check before they make commentary. They can recite a litany of facts and stats about certain other programs but act like rank amateurs when reporting on ND. I find David Pollack and Herbie most reliable.
