Trudumb said everyone is welcome in Canada. That's a highly ignorant comment to make. He must be related to nocalirish.

A Syrian refugee is already in trouble in Canada and has been charged with six counts of sexual assault.

Kicked your arse in the War of 1812!

Do not understand this response. War of 1812 was between USA and UK So I believe there was USA incursions into British controlled Canada which was not a country but a territory or colony of UK. That said two important battles ended the war. One was the Battle of New Orleans which decided western advancement which to the dismay of Canadians I mean your rulers the Brits was their ultimate goal of British to prevent the old colonies from expanding westward. The other more probably most important battle was the battle of Baltimore. In the end The British kept Canada and the USA kept its territories and were able to expand westward. My dig we were a country and you were a colony,

In a relatively rare admission for an American scholar, a leading U.S. historian who authored a provocative new tome about North American military conflicts states bluntly that Canada won the War of 1812.

Johns Hopkins University professor Eliot Cohen, a senior adviser to former U.S. secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, writes in his just-published book Conquered Into Liberty that, “ultimately, Canada and Canadians won the War of 1812.”

And Cohen acknowledges that, “Americans at the time, and, by and large, since, did not see matters that way.”

all this chest thumping by Canadians regarding the war of 1812. The main point we were a free nation. Canada was a colony. So if anything the Brits should do very limited chest thumping. At the end we got are wish and to a lesser extent the British got their wish. Never understood this issue with Canada.

Some left wing professors opine. Here is a quote from a canadian web site The British kept Canada, as well as the maritime policies that Americans say were the reason for the war. Still, almost everyone involved walked off happy. The Americans are happy because they think they won. The Canadians were happier because they know they won--they remained part of the BritishEmpire.Jun 14, 2013

In the spirit of good neighbors"...........
The 1st Special Service Force (also called The Devil's Brigade, The Black Devils, The Black Devils' Brigade, and Freddie's Freighters),[1][2] was an elite American-Canadian commando unit in World War II, under command of the United States Fifth Army. The unit was organized in 1942 and trained at Fort William Henry Harrison near Helena, Montana in the United States. It fought in the Aleutian Islands, Italy, and southern France before being disbanded in December 1944.

The modern American and Canadianspecial operations forces trace their heritage to this unit. In 2013, the United States Congress passed a bill to award the 1st Special Service Force the Congressional Gold Medal.[3]

I remember reading about the Diepe raid. IT was one of those things where canadian units took the brunt of an unfortunate plan. My father talked about that and always said those soldiers got screwed by that. He had a lot of respect for those soldiers as I do for those great american and canadians who fought and died during that war

The raid was a disaster but new documents show it was a diversion to capture an intact enigma machine that was kept secret for about 60 years......Ian Fleming was the intelligence officer who retrieved the machine.

Hahaha perfect! I got my buddy Dave, who is from Denton, Texas, to watch Trailer Park Boys. He and our buddy (his roommate at the time) Matt (from England) binge watched it! It's their favorite show! Both of them said the same thing. "Those people remind me exactly of people I know from home. Just a little bit different culturally and different accents."

The show is ridiculous, but it's hilarious as well!

The trailer park boys is the greatest comedy ever !! It is hard to find it on tv down here in the South. Better than Seinfeld !

I just found out Canada has a Queen. What is up with that? No wonder they are a bunch of wishy washy liberals who depend on America to stay safe !
Still under British rule ! We broke away hundreds of years ago !!

Reality: Britain has a queen - Canada is 1 of 52 countries (former British colonies) that are voluntary members of the "Commonwealth of Nations" all of which are 'sovereign' nations with a somewhat loose political-economic alliance with Britain. Total population of those 52 countries....2.3 billion, almost 1/3 of the world population.

Reality: You may be familiar with The Iran Hostage Crisis? In November 1979 Canada came to the aid of US Government diplomats and officials and rescued some of them from being taken captive by Iranian government extremists - the US citizens that were captured were kept hostage for 444 days . I guess, at least in some cases, the US and Canada are 'co-dependent'. And that's what being a good neighbor is all about !

Wait til the Yanks google the word boxing match with that useless failed drama teacher (Turd'oh) name and find out he fought an equally useless sitting senator in a boxing ring.

If you have The Hip, you don't need anything else.

Can you imagine a Trump vs Trudeau boxing match!?! That would be sad and hilarious. Trudeau slapping at Trump with those little arms, trying not to hurt himself and trying to keep his hair looking perfect and Trump trying to drag his old, out of shape, ass around the ring and not have a heart attack, and giving that blue steel look of his every time he gets slapped.

That would be hilarious. I'd watch!
