I'm looking at the 247 Sports Recruiter Rankings. Al Washington is No. 1, Tommy Rees is No. 4, and Chris O'Leary is No. 9. To round out the top 100, Freeman is 12, McCullough is 34, Golden is 68, and Bowden is 85.
if these numbers are to be taken at all seriously (and I would think that they ought to be given at least some weight), Notre Dame currently has the best set of recruiters in the nation, and it isn't close. Ohio State looks like second best, and has Wilson and Alford in the top 10, and then numbers 37, 92 and 100. I was a pretty young man the last time that happened. Sure, Alabama and a few other teams always have a huge late surge, but it's still exciting. It would be even more exciting if we could hold off the other teams and keep the top spot, but I'd be happy with anywhere in the top three.
