On Wednesday, Notre Dame received a preferred walk-on commitment from three-star safety Luke Talich.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound safety from Cody (Wyo.) High chose the Irish over scholarship offers from Montana State, Northern Arizona, Oregon State, Utah, Weber State and Wyoming. He has visited Notre Dame on several occasions, most recently for the Boston College game Nov. 19.
Talich played quarterback and defensive back at Cody High School in Wyoming. He is also a standout track and field athlete, running a 10.83 second 100-meter dash.
