Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden is one of 57 nominees for the Broyles Award, since 1996 given annually to the nation's top college football assistant coach. Also on the list are two former Notre Dame offensive coordinators -- Tommy Rees at Alabama and Mike Denbrock at LSU. Bob Diaco won the award at Notre Dame as the Irish defensive coordinator in 2012 and is the only Irish assistant to win the award.
