My opinion. We can all talk about character and ethics, theses are traits that are learned and taught at home, and you either have and retain these teachings or you don’t. Everything is about money anymore not the quality of effort , character, respect, honesty or one’s word. I am tired of hearing, “ these are 17 and 18 year olds, not toddlers, they are old enough to make decisions and stick to them, I was.The NIL and transfer portal have made all those above absolute in todays society, look at politics which has always been about people who have very few qualities above, but now it’s spread to our youth, and it shows, whatever happen to a STUDENT/ATHLETE, it’s now Athlete/ Agent. College football is done.There are no rules or guidelines to manage what is becoming the wild west. Maybe the US government will step in and set up some guidelines.
