The Leadership Team consists of HC Freeman, DC Golden, OC Rees, STC Mason and S&CC Ballis. No one is more committed to Freman's success that Golden, Rees, Mason, and Ballis. And no one is more committed to their success than their assistant coaches. That is not true on all staffs, but it is demonstrably true with this staff. The players know it. The recruits know it. Swarbrick knows it.

Will they be successful. I believe they will, but with the QB inexpeience it could take unti '24 to show.

But here is what some fans do not seem to reallize: No one knows better, not even remotely close to, what the coaches set out to do, what they got done and what they did not get done, why, and what they must do next to get the program where they want it than thoxe coaches.
.
It is one thing for fans to speculate on what coaches wi.l try and how different players will perform. But when fans opine as if they know more than the coaches or players, they do not just behave sillily, they demonstrate their ignorance and inexperience. How could they possibly know more than the coaches and players?

This is a great staff and unless they are unbelievably unlucky, I think they are going to be successful.

Of course fans can pick and.choose "facts" from a twelve game season that support their judgements, but such meager, biased data collection has no validity. It meets no "research standard" in natural science or social science. It does, however, meet the epistemological standard of buddies drinking beer and talking smack. That's cool, fun discourse, but when expressed to a public audience a little moderation and humility serves the writer well.

Of course, we are only talking about ND football, so who cares? Problem is that the kind of intelligence or ignorance we bring to this forum applies to what we can bring to the Piblic Square as members of the Body Politic. That matters to our politics and democracy. Practicing intelligent discourse matters as does assiduously avoiding ignorance and ignorant behaviors.

Think how much our coaches and players must learn in their pursuit of excellence. That is an experience, and endeavor, we can share with our beloved team.
