Notre Dame men's basketball (7-14, 2-8 ACC) looks to snap its five-game losing streak — the longest of Micah Shrewsberry's first season — on Saturday at Pittsburgh (13-8, 4-6 ACC). It is the first and only meeting between these two programs this season.

Freshman point guard Markus Burton, who averages a team-high 16 points per game, is one of five Irish along with J.R. Konieczny, Braeden Shrewsberry, Carey Booth and Matt Zona to appear in all 21 games thus far. Burton, who has been joined in the normal starting lineup by Konieczny, Booth, forwards Tae Davis and Kebba Njie, is the only player to start every game this season.

ND is holding its opponents to 65.3 points per game, which is nearly 11 points less than Pitt's team average of 75.9 points per contest. However, the Irish only average 62 points per game and have only scored above 60 points in four of their last five games (75-61 loss vs. Miami). Notre Dame's scoring offense ranks No. 345 (out of 351) in Division I men's basketball.

The Panthers have three players averaging double-figures in scoring, including forward Blake Hinson at 18 points per contest. Head coach Jeff Capel's squad forces 11.9 turnovers per game, which plays right into the hands of Notre Dame which averages 13.9 turnovers per contest and lacks a steady second ball-handler outside of Burton.

Pitt has won three of its last four games, including two wins over common opponents Duke and Georgia Tech, the latter of whom the Irish beat in overtime.
