Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** Back in March of 2020, the NCAA enacted an emergency dead period, which halted all in-person contact between prospective student athletes and college coaches. That dead period had been in place for the past 15 months, but it came to an end today. The Irish had two notable visitors today, both in the 2023 class: four-stars Chandavian Bradley (DE) and Drayk Bowen (LB). By all accounts, both visits went very well, and the staff crammed in a lot of activities in a few hour span. Bradley's recruitment still seems in its early stages, while I believe Bowen could pop in favor of the Irish sometime in the next few months. Click here for my story on Bradley, and click here for Josh Helmholdt's story on Bowen.

*** Denton (Texas) Guyer class of 2023 four-star safety Peyton Bowen will be visiting Notre Dame June 8-9, per sources. This is solid news, as Bowen is a top of the board target for the Irish in the rising junior cycle. Texas, LSU, Oklahoma and USC are just a few of Bowen's other notable offers. The Irish staff offered the 6-1, 185-pounder during its March 17 Pot of Gold recruiting day.

*** Some notes on Notre Dame targets in the 2022 class visiting other schools today... Four-star wide receiver Taylor Groves stopped by Vanderbilt, the local school, today ... Key cornerback target Devin Moore was at Florida for an unofficial visit. The DBs coach at UF played at Moore's high school, so the Gators have a strong connection there ... Damari Alston was at Florida too. Alston is more of a plan B option for Notre Dame at this point ... Important safety target Jake Pope was at Georgia today. Despite Pope being an in-state kid, the Bulldogs don't seem to be a major threat to Notre Dame here.

*** Notre Dame's biggest camp of June is Irish Invasion, and this year it falls on Sunday, June 6. Throughout the week, I'll be reporting more names of prospects who are expected to participate in the camp. Here are three more names:

St. Louis De Smet class of 2023 CB Christian Gray: Holds early offers from Iowa State, Kansas State and Kentucky. From the high school of former Irish receiver Jordan Johnson and current 2023 TE target Mac Markway. Will be a national recruit.

Lincoln (Neb.) Southeast class of 2023 OL Gunnar Gottula: Holds early offers from Iowa State and Kansas State. Receiving interest from a handful of other schools. Reports that he stands at 6-6, 270 pounds.

Houston (Texas) Stratford class of 2023 TE Hawkins Polley: Holds early offers from Baylor, SMU and Vanderbilt. Also a pretty good basketball player. Will camp at eight schools in total this month.
