Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** My newest FutureCast pick is in the 2023 class, and it's for the Irish to come away with a recruiting victory for Las Vegas Bishop Gorman cornerback Justyn Rhett. His Notre Dame visit and camp experience at the beginning of June went incredibly well. He loved the coaching staff, and the feeling was mutual. His conversations with the staff have progressed to a point where I feel comfortable enough making this prediction, but it is not over yet. Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, USC and others are still in pursuit.

*** Earlier this week, Notre Dame hosted a trio of 2023 prospects from the Atlanta area -- running back Justice Haynes, cornerback Ethan Nation and safety Caleb Downs. All three of these four-star prospects are close friends; Haynes and Downs have even know each other since they were young kids. I'm told Notre Dame blew these guys away, Notre Dame will be a school Nation considers down to the end. I believe it's the same with Downs and Haynes too. It would be an upset if Notre Dame wins any of these recruitments but not far-fetched.

*** Sparta (N.J.) High class of 2023 quarterback Austen Fratturacamped at Notre Dame for offensive coordinator Tommy Rees on Tuesday. The 6-1, 193-pounder holds early offers from Maryland and Pittsburgh. Here is what he messaged me about his experience at Notre Dame: "It was just awesome. Everyone was so welcoming and it just feels like a very special place to be. I walked away very impressed with the entire experience."

*** Buford (Ga.) High class of 2022 safety Jake Pope took an unofficial visit to Georgia today. It's not crazy news considering he lives less than an hour from campus, but it is notable considering it's his second time at Georgia this month. Even though he officially visited Ohio State last weekend and trips to Alabama tomorrow, the feeling I've gotten in this recruitment is that it would be Notre Dame or North Carolina. If Georgia pushes for him, then I don't know where that leaves things. What I do know is that after Pope's Alabama visit this weekend, he should make a commitment to a school soon afterwards.
