Our Ohio State Rivals site, Dotting The Eyes, caught up with James Laurinaitis this past week about his move from Notre Dame graduate assistant linebackers coach to the same position at Ohio State.

Here's what Laurinaitis said about how Marcus Freeman handled the news:
“I think Marcus, he understood. He understands that my family and I wanted to be back here at our alma mater and at Ohio State. The nice thing about when you’re really good friends with somebody, you know that nothing business-wise is going to come between that. I was just thankful, obviously, for him to trust me in coming up there, putting the work in and really giving me some freedom to run that linebacker room. Just grateful that he understood. It was something that I stressed about a lot making that call. But the way he handled it made it go a lot smoother for me.”
