All of this chatter concerning ND joining a conference is beyond ridiculous. ND's independence, even 10 years from now, is at risk only if all five of the Power 5 conferences are willing to turn away tens of millions of dollars that ND brings to the table. No matter what happens between now and 2027, one of the Power 5 will be weaker than the others and, consequently, will be more than willing to work around ND's need for independence.
