MACOMB, Mich. – Notre Dame had six coaches at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp outside of Detroit on Friday, and that included head man Brian Kelly. He not only spoke at the event, but also evaluated some of the top recruits on hand.

Corley made play after play as college coaches from around the country looked on.

The 6-2, 190-pound wideout will be at the Irish Invasion on June 19. He would like to cut his list of schools soon, and said that the trip to South Bend will play a major role in that process.

But Notre Dame isn’t the only school using that pitch. Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh was one of a number of high-profile head coaches on hand Friday. He chatted with the St. Browns right after Brian Kelly did.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star running back Tony Jones was the lone Notre Dame commit on hand, but he was doing his best to recruit future teammates at the camp.

When Jones wasn’t running routes like the one above, he was chatting up guys like Canadian three-star wide receiver Chase Claypool.

Claypool, who was offered by Notre Dame back in May, named a top three of Michigan, Oregon and Washington, but he’ll be at the Irish Invasion on June 19.

Another Canadian that plans to be at the Irish Invasion is Rivals250 safety Patrice Rene. Notre Dame hasn’t offered Rene yet, but the staff got a good look at him on Friday.

Joining Claypool and Rene on campus will be 4-star athlete Jonathan Sutherland, who has already visited Notre Dame. The rising junior was in South Bend in early June and holds offers from Wisconsin, North Carolina and Miami.

Of course, no one was going to top what 4-star wide receiver Binjimen Victor did in one-on-ones. Victor was planning to visit Notre Dame on Sunday, but that trip never happened.

While the Victor news was unfortunate for the Irish, one prospect that did make it to South Bend recently was at the camp, and he spoke with Notre Dame’s coaching staff. The Irish “bumped" into 4-star cornerback Donte’ Vaughn out on the fields just two days after offering him a scholarship.

Potential targets were a plenty with 1,400 + recruits working out and one prospect that caught the eye of Notre Dame defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder was Utah thee-star safety commit Micah Croom.

Another prospect that got a hard look from VanGorder was Rivals100 rising junior cornerback Jamyest Williams. Williams was arguably the top defensive back at the camp, and was swarmed by coaches in-between drills.

Joining Malone-Hatcher on campus might be linebacker Joshua Ross. The 2017 prospect put Notre Dame in his top three last month after picking up a bid from the Irish. He’s trying to find a ride to the Irish Invasion.

Chicagoland three-star defensive end Daniel Joseph is trying to shore up travel plans for the Irish Invasion, as well. Joseph said he has had some contact with the Irish, but Penn State and Iowa are the schools recruiting him the hardest.

Romeo McKinght falls into a similar category as Joseph, when it comes to getting defensive ends to visit. McKinght has seen his stock take off in recent weeks and was being evaluated by the Irish on Friday.

VanGorder also got a quick word in with 5-star linebacker Daelin Hayes. The USC commit – pictured right – is still solid on his pledge to the Trojans, but he’s listening to the Irish.

The Irish Invasion is six days away, hopefully we’ll see more of these hats floating around.
