Clearly HH has the OL recruiting among the best in the country. How long before our new coach gets a top DL recruit to commit?

All in good time, all in good time.

Seriously though, recruiting is a group effort.

GO IRISH !

aside from being an excellent coach, recruiting is one of his strengths; hopefully his recruiting strength in some way compensates for recruiting not being a BVG strength.

Historically, this has been the hardest position to recruit. They also seem to be the position that commits the latest in the process, as only 4 of the top 20 DT guys has made a committment. And 1 of the top 20 SDEs.
Most seem to be from southern states. Academic challenges are the other issue.
Of the top 20 DTs on Rivals only 2 are above the Mason-Dixon line and 1 from CA. Of the top 20 SDEs only 3 are north of the Mason-Dixon and 1 from CA.

ND is in on a couple of the tackles. And then there are some highly rated sDEs that they are in on.

IF we get to the playoffs this yr that will change the perspective of many of the prospects at every position -- build it and they will come .

ND's success will do a lot of the selling for Coach Gilmore
