What this isn't counting is the aurora.

ND is a million miles out in front. They are the only university on that list that essentially has it's very own network. Not a conference network mind you but a national major network.
I know Texas has something but it's not televised nationally. On cable. Sure you can stream anything these days but ND is NBC's baby and the only football team that could pull off such a major ordeal like that.

What that's worth is hard to put on paper but it's extraordinary

If I'm not mistaken, ESPN was or is losing millions from the longhorn network.

Justin Tuck grew up an Alabama fan but they were on probation. As a loyal Tide, he wouldn't go to Auburn but instead to a school in the national spotlight.

I think nowadays he would just pick another SEC school. ESPN is about to become the primary SEC Network.

That might be true and no different for anyone but ND. Thats the thing. ND the brand is bigger than any whole conference. Why? Let's not kid ourselves...it's football which is why the whole beat the shit out of our men's basketball team join the ACC frenzy is ridiculous.

ND was, is and always will be football. They literally can write their own ticket.

Maybe but thats the entire SEC. We are one school with no conference and on a national free TV network. Think about that. Anyone can get NBC for free if you've got an antenna. Digital antenna today.
ESPN is a pay for station.

That's just how huge that ND/NBC contract is.
