Five losses in final six games was too much to overcome for the Irish (30-24). That included an extra-inning loss to a 10-40 Northwestern team. Notre Dame goes 15-15 in ACC play. Eight ACC schools make the tourney. ... It wasn't particularly close for the Irish. Last four out were Arizona State, Kansas State, Kent State and UC-Irvine.
